CDSL Shares Plunge 48%: What’s Behind the Dive?

Ex-Bonus Adjustment
Central Depository Services (India) Ltd (CDSL) shares plummeted 48% today on the NSE, opening at Rs 1,500 from yesterday’s Rs 2,898.10. This drop is due to the stock trading ex-bonus, as the company issued a 1:1 bonus, effectively halving the share price.

Post-Adjustment Performance
Despite the correction, CDSL shares surged 6% post-adjustment, reaching a 52-week high of Rs 1,559. The bonus issue, set to double the share count, will not impact the company’s market cap.
