Cyclone Asna Moves Away from Gujarat, Relief from Heavy Rain
Cyclone Asna, which was threatening the Gujarat coast, has moved 310 km west of Naliya and is heading away from India. The India Meteorological Department reports that no heavy rainfall is expected in Gujarat over the next five days. While a yellow alert for light to moderate rain remains in place, the state’s recent heavy rainfall caused significant damage and 32 deaths. With the cyclone moving away, the situation is stabilizing, but authorities continue to monitor the weather closely.
