Sohum Shah-starrer Tumbbad Sees Unexpected Success, Surpassing Kareena Kapoor’s The Buckingham Murders

The re-release of the cult horror film *Tumbbad*, starring Sohum Shah, has seen a remarkable performance at the box office. Despite being a re-release, the film has earned Rs 7.2 crore domestically, surpassing the new release *The Buckingham Murders*, which earned Rs 5.25 crore. *Tumbbad* began its re-release with Rs 1.6 crore, followed by Rs 2.6 crore on the second day, and Rs 3 crore on the third day. Initially, it grossed Rs 13.25 crore in its 2018 run, and with current figures, it is close to surpassing that mark. This re-release demonstrates the enduring appeal of the film, amid a challenging year for Hindi cinema.
