Court orders investigation into suspected manipulation of case listings.

The Supreme Court has raised serious concerns over possible manipulation in the case listing process. On Friday, the Court directed its Registry to explain why a bail plea, originally scheduled for October 14, was prematurely listed. The Division Bench, comprising Justices Abhay S Oka and Pankaj Mithal, expressed their displeasure and warned that such actions would not be tolerated. The Registry has been asked to submit a detailed explanation for the irregularity.
