TTD’s Mahashanti Yagam aims to restore sanctity amid laddoo scandal.
In response to the alleged use of “beef tallow” in Tirupati laddoos, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) conducted a purification ritual called Mahashanti Yagam. This ceremony aimed to atone for the “mistake” of offering adulterated prasadam to the deity. The event involved purifying the kitchens with panchagavya and was attended by priests and officials. Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu has ordered a special investigation team to probe the allegations further, ensuring that such incidents do not compromise the sanctity of the temple.
