In a decisive move, the Karnataka government has mandated the exclusive use of Nandini ghee in all 34,000 temples under its management. This decision comes amid a brewing controversy over the use of animal fat in ghee for Tirupati laddoos. With concerns raised about the quality of ghee at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, the government aims to ensure that the quality of ‘prasada’ remains uncompromised. This directive reinforces the commitment to uphold the sanctity of temple offerings across Karnataka.
