AAP MLA Mukesh Ahlawat is set to join Delhi Chief Minister-designate Atishi’s cabinet, taking the oath on Saturday. Representing Sultan Pur Majra, Ahlawat, a key Dalit leader, replaces Sandeep Kumar, focusing on the welfare of Scheduled Castes. He won his 2020 assembly election with 48,042 votes and is seen as a crucial figure in Delhi’s North West region. Alongside Ahlawat, four other ministers, including Kailash Gahlot, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Gopal Rai, and Imran Hussain, will continue their roles in the cabinet. Ahlawat’s addition marks a significant shift in Delhi’s political landscape.
