Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate India’s first Vande Bharat Metro on September 16. This semi-high-speed train will connect Ahmedabad and Bhuj in Gujarat, covering 334 km in just 5 hours and 45 minutes. Operating six days a week, it will stop at nine stations along the route. Departing from Bhuj at 5:50 am and reaching Ahmedabad by 10:50 am, the return trip starts at 5:30 pm and arrives in Bhuj at 11:10 pm.
The Vande Bharat Metro will feature 3 x 3 bench-type seating, wheelchair-accessible toilets, a talk-back system for emergencies, and advanced sensors for fire detection. The train will run at speeds between 100-250 km/h and aims to accommodate more passengers with plans to expand from 12 to 16 coaches.
