India Confirms First Suspected Mpox Case in New Delhi

Health Ministry assures no public health threat as patient remains stable

India has reported its first suspected Mpox case in New Delhi, involving a male patient who recently traveled from a country with Mpox transmission. The patient is isolated and in stable condition at Safdarjung Hospital. The Health Ministry reassured the public that this is an isolated case, not a public health emergency. Mpox primarily spreads through close contact and shows symptoms like fever, fatigue, and skin rashes.
