Heavy rainfall and flooding have wreaked havoc in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, claiming at least nine lives in Telangana. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu took to the field past midnight, visiting flood-affected areas in Vijayawada, despite security concerns. His inspection continued till 3 a.m., as the Krishna River’s flood fury raged on for a third day. In Andhra Pradesh, agricultural crops across 1,11,259 hectares and horticultural crops in 7,360 hectares have been severely affected. The state government is actively working to aid those impacted by the devastating floods.
