Big Media Deal Gets Green Light
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved a ₹70,350 crore merger between Reliance Industries and Disney’s Indian media assets. In this deal, Reliance will own 16.34%, Viacom18 will hold 46.82%, and Disney will have 36.84% of the new joint venture. The approval comes with some voluntary changes, just one day before Reliance’s 47th annual meeting.
